Hi everyone!
I've been fascinated by computers for over 25 years now.
It all started back in 1978, when my science teacher introduced me to
to one of the world's first personal computers - The Apple IIe
Since then, I've used all kinds of computers, from PCs and Macintoshs right up to the big
unix machines and mainframes.
Why am I talking to you now?
Over the years, I've had loads of people come up to me and ask me questions about their PC. There are just so many things that can go wrong! And if I had the time, I would always try and help them. Over the years I must have helped hundreds of people! But it seemed like I was always giving the same advice - to different people - over and over again.
And then the thought hit me : Why not write a website which contains all my best advice about how to use and maintain your PC? Then everyone would be able to see the latest, up to date, advice on any issue relating to their home PC. And so the PC advice Center was born!
How am I qualified to talk about PCs and computers?
I was awarded a Bachelor of Computing from Monash University (Melbourne) in 1992.
I'm also a Microsoft Certified Systems Enginer and Oracle Certified DBA.
In addition, I have over ten years experience in the IT industry!
Helping other people fix problems, and get more out of their PC is my passion!
I hope you find the PC Advice Center useful and fun to read.
